Note 1:

For families with 2 members in any squad, the maximum fee payable is Ł66.00
For families with 3 members in any squad (inc masters), the maximum fee payable is Ł74.00
The club fees are calculated on an annual basis and are payable in twelve monthly payments irrespective of attendance
Relief on monthly fees are only considered on medical grounds

Note 2:

The membership year runs from October 1st to September 30th

Masters

Fees applicable from 1st October 2011:

There are two options for attendance at Masters. These are:

	Recreational	- For people who do not want to compete
	Competitive	- For people who want to compete

Note 1:

For competitive members only, you have the option of paying for masters sessions under a family capped arrangement rather than paying at each session. Under this arrangement, you elect to attend one (would cost Ł8.67/month) or both (would cost Ł17.33/month) weekly masters sessions and then select one of the following family payment options:
For families with 3 members in any squad (inc masters), the maximum fee payable is Ł44.00
For families with 4 members in any squad (inc masters), the maximum fee payable is Ł45.00
The club fees are calculated on an annual basis and are payable in twelve monthly payments irrespective of attendance (competitive members only)
Relief on monthly fees are only considered on medical grounds (competitive members only)

Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) Registration

As we are a competitive club, the ASA Registration fee is necessary for every club member and helper. This enables the swimmers to take part in League Galas, Open Meets, County Championships etc. This is an annual payment fixed by the ASA and includes insurance. If any members wish further information about the ASA insurance, please contact the club secretary.

One	Shall include all members of any age who are learning to swim or who are swimmers at any level, who do not compete in any discipline in open competition, other than those exempted under Law 312.1.2 (private association competition).	Ł13.10
Two	Shall include all members of any age who compete in any discipline in open competitions, other than those exempted under Law 312.1.2.	Ł29.25
Three	Shall include all members of any age who are not in Categories One or Two including, but not being limited to, any persons who have voting rights in their club by virtue of being a parent of or a person with parental responsibility for a member in Categories One or Two; administrators, associate members; coaches; helpers; honorary members; life members; officers; qualified officials of any discipline; patrons; teachers; temporary members; vice presidents and verifiers or tutors of the Association's educational certificates. For existing members, the ASA registration fee must be paid any time before 1st March in the year of membership. If not paid, the swimmer will be unable to swim in any gala held under ASA law.

Policy Re: Pay Per Swim Members and Returning Swimmers

Derby Phoenix policy regarding membership is that swimmers up until the age of 18 pay full membership fee, ASA and subs. If there are exceptional circumstances the committee MAY allow the swimmer to operate on a pay per swim basis but application to do so MUST be made in writing to the committee and is at the discretion of the committee. (Membership and ASA fees are still obligatory). Over the age of 18 the committee will usually allow those at college or university to pay per swim (at prevailing rates) providing ASA and membership fees are paid, but application to the committee should still be made in writing.

New swimmers are permitted a one off three week free trial with the club as permitted under ASA rules and should be allowed to swim but this does not apply to those who have already held membership with us.

Swimmers returning to Derby Phoenix after a swimming break must immediately renew their membership and ASA fees and pay full subscription charges this is to comply with ASA rules and to comply with our insurance requirements. We ask that those swimmers wishing to return, contact the Club Secretary in advance so that forms may be sent out and membership re-instated prior to the swimmer returning to the pool.
