This year we have, for the second year, run two teams in the competition. After successfully gaining promotion last year we fielded a team in both divisions.
The A team finished mid table with a very creditable 2nd place in the final round even though we lost a number of our 11- and 12-year-old girls to the County team on the same day and swum others in their place from the B team as well as up an age group in many events. The B team, even though at times short of swimmers (particularly boys), swam and cheered their hearts out at every round and demonstrated how many of them have improved to be serious contenders for the main team in future competitions.
A particularly BIG thank you to all those parents who really put themselves out to help get the teams together, organise lifts and arrange helpers and officials, especially Maxene Ward and John Mosley who supported every round with the B team even though they had no-one swimming for us.
