Members of Derby Phoenix Swimming Club are celebrating today after receiving a grant of £1,365.00 from the National Lottery's Awards for All programme.
The grant will allow the group to purchase anti-wave lane ropes. This will benefit all members of the club, from the more experienced swimmers down to the young teaching section. These ropes will help improve skill, technique and performance, as well as the enjoyment of swimming.
Group spokesperson Mrs Dawn Sellers said "We are very pleased to get this award. For a group like ours, this is a large sum of money. It will allow us to help many local people."

Thanks to Rob and Dawn for all the effort they have put in to get the grant, there were many hours needed on the application form to be successful.
