Derby Phoenix is an amateur swimming club affiliated to the Amateur Swimming Association, (Swim England) comprising of a group of people for the common purpose of taking part in swimming-related activities being organised and managed on a democratic basis.
Derby Phoenix adopts a constitution modelled on Swim England’s recommended club constitution, approved by the region, and is a 'SwimMark Essential Club'. SwimMark is the primary module for clubs, helping you to achieve good governance, grow membership, develop volunteers and ensure your activity is sustainable and in line with your club objectives. It is accredited every two years.
The Club is welcoming and friendly and has been in existence for many years. Originating in around 1959 as the swimming section of the Derby Baths Life-Saving and Swimming Club, the Club later changed its name to the Derby Baths Swimming Club. The current name, PHOENIX, was adopted in 1974 and has been in use since.

From Monday 14th October the centre car park will be closed for resurfacing. The car park will reopen on Monday 28th October. During the closure, Repton is providing alternative parking on Chapel Field which is located by the Science Priory. There will be directional signs and also a staff member providing car park duties. We recommend the Chapel Field for all Pool and Sports Hall 1 users.
