Hi! My name is Isla Collumbell and I have been swimming for the Club for about 4 years.
On the 10th of December 2022 my friend Luciee was taken to hospital after feeling ill. After a lot of scans and tests her family were told that she had a brain tumour. Luciee was perfectly fine before this.
This has now turned into grade 4 Glioblastoma. This was announced at school a few months later.
Unfortunately, there is no cure for this.
I have known Luciee since infant school so we have been friends for over 8 years. Luciee does not attend school anymore due to her ongoing chemotherapy treatment.
I can’t begin to imagine how Luciee feels, so I thought I could raise a bit of money doing what I love (swimming!).
Luciee loves art, crafting and pandas! I’d like the money I raise to help the days in between treatment a little bit more bearable by providing art equipment or even a trip to the zoo.
